Description
Radiant and welcoming, Bird Lover brings the tree forward as both portrait and habitat. Its luminous canopy offers shelter, perches, and possibility, celebrating the trees that hold space for the lives and songs of birds.
Each TRUE TREES canvas edition begins as an original pencil drawing made by hand. John DeFaro then uses a digital drawing tablet to meticulously prepare the artwork for reproduction, clearing the space around every leaf, branch, trunk, and root while preserving the character and intention of the original drawing.
The finished canvas reveals remarkable depth of ink and color. Fine details remain crisp while the saturated color gives the tree an almost dimensional presence, allowing it to lift from the canvas.
Presented by Green Religion, the work invites the living world into the room as image, presence, and daily reminder. It creates a quiet connection that brings this loving world into another’s living world, offering a sense of all living together on this planet and in this vast universe.
Each canvas enters production only after it is chosen. Made to order rather than printed in advance, no artwork waits without a home.
• 1.25″ (3.18 cm) thick poly-cotton blend canvas • Canvas fabric weight: 10.15 +/- 0.74 oz./yd.² (344 g/m² +/- 25g/m²) • Fade-resistant • Hand-stretched over solid wood stretcher bars • Sawtooth hanger attached to the back for easy hanging • Blank product sourced from the US, Canada, Europe, UK, or Australia
Canvas prints arrive ready to hang — no framing required. For an elevated presentation, we confidently recommend considering a float frame in white, natural mid-tone wood, or black. A ½″ to 1½″ frame creates space around the canvas and can dramatically lift the presentation. With TRUE TREES intentionally offered at an accessible price, a well-made frame can be a worthwhile investment in a work you’ll live with for years.
