Layered, radiant, and watchful, Bird Lover brings the tree forward as both portrait and habitat. Its luminous canopy holds traces of another presence, suggesting the intimate lives gathered beneath and within a tree.
Each TRUE TREES canvas edition begins as an original drawing made by hand. John DeFaro later used a graphic drawing tablet to meticulously prepare the artwork for reproduction, clearing the space around every leaf, branch, trunk, and root while preserving the character of the original drawing.
Presented by Green Religion, the work invites the living world into the room as image, presence, and daily reminder. The artist’s signature and discreet © greenreligion.com imprint are reproduced on the face of the canvas as part of the artwork.
