There’s no place like Earth.

Founded by artist, designer, and Creative Director John DeFaro, Green Religion is a climate-aware creative platform exploring connection with the living world through apparel, objects, stories, workshops, observation, participation, and public culture.

The same bits of earth that cling beneath the gardener’s fingernails find their way into the studio creations we offer.

Soil on shoes. Salt in the air. Leaves on sidewalks. Humidity. Birdsong. The relief of stepping back beneath trees.

What we make is shaped by contact.

Green Religion grows from lived experience: gardens, forests, neighborhoods, shorelines, drawings, conversations, modern creative tools, field observations, and everyday acts of care.

The work remains open. Teachable. In motion.

Green Religion is not only discussing climate awareness. It is exploring how awareness moves through daily life: through what we wear, what we notice, the workshops we attend, the stories we share, and our participation with the living world.

Through participation, Climate AWEARness moves visibly through culture.

Participation can be public.

Participation can be quiet.

It often begins with noticing.

We believe small acts of connection with the living world can help people feel more present, more hopeful, and less overwhelmed by climate concerns.

Each piece is produced with intention, supporting thoughtful creation, reduced excess, and meaningful participation.

The living world is not separate from culture.

It moves through it.
