TRUE TREES Memory Silhouettes reinterpret the original, full-color tree drawings by John DeFaro through a reduced, inward approach. Rendered here in color, each form carries the memory of the original gestures while inviting a softer, more atmospheric presence. What once lived in full detail returns as a feeling.
Printed as a unisex cotton sweatshirt, the tree silhouette enters the garment from below and is intentionally cropped so only its upper reaches are revealed. Positioned close to the earth, the image rises with the body. The open upper field allows the composition to breathe.
Placement matters. greenreligion.com appears subtly across the back in light teal, a luminous tone drawn from DeFaro’s environmental journeys to French Polynesia. The Green Religion Origin G logo appears on the left sleeve in the same tone, positioned just below the elbow as a quiet mark of intention.
