CUT FLOWERS begin as a single flower silhouette built through a collage process, filled with imagery drawn from the TRUE TREES drawings by John DeFaro. Layers are repeated and refined until each work finds its own visual voice. What emerges is not literal, but a bloom shaped by time spent outside observing the living world.
The imagery moves across the full front of the T-shirt and is intentionally cropped at the edges. The flower reads as a mark rather than an illustration. A gesture of presence that keeps us close to nature, not above it.
