BEFORE WE SPOKE belongs to Spoken Leaf, a Green Religion series of word-based designs shaped by language, pause, and presence. Life was already unfolding before we gave it words. Beneath the phrase sits a circular form, a rendered microscopic field unseen by the human eye, recalling early life and offered in four color combinations.
These designs use short phrases and minimal, organic forms and hues of color to carry meaning lightly, sometimes with attitude. The words are not declarations but signals, meant to rest on the body.
Placement matters. greenreligion.com appears across the back in a hue borrowed directly from the front artwork, creating a visual echo. The Green Religion “Origin G” logo on the left sleeve shares this same color language and is placed lower on the arm, below the elbow, as a grounded gesture, a small wink toward the earth.
